Invasion of Ireland

Prior to Christianity, there were many invasions into Ireland. The Partholonians were followed by Nemedians, then the Fir Bolg, the Tuatha Dé Dannan, a race of people who were half-human, half divine.

Finally the Milesians or Celts brought with them the druidic traditions and the Brehon Laws, (Ref. Ó hÓgáin, Dáithí, 'Myth, legend and romance, An Encyclopedia of the Irish Folk Tradition' New York, 1991.)
